Round 3-22: Sc in every sc (12). Then fasten off the red and join the darker green yarn.
Round 23: Ch x1, then *dc x2 into the next stitch. In the following stitch make a sl st. Repeat from *, then sl st to the beginning of the round when you are done. Fasten off the green yarn and weave in any ends.
Embroidery:
Embroider white seeds all over the strawberry holder. Optionally you can paint the seeds on - just make sure it is with a non-washable paint.
Watermelon Freeze Pop Holder:
Round 1: With the lighter shade of green, make a mr and make sc x6 in the circle. If you find it difficult making a magic ring you can chain 2 and then crochet sc x6 in the second chain from the hook. (6)

Round 8-22: Sc in every sc (12).
Round 23: Ch x1, then *dc x2 into the next stitch. In the following stitch make a sl st. Repeat from *, then sl st to the beginning of the round when you are done. Fasten off the pink yarn and weave in any ends.
Embroidery:
Embroider black seeds all over the watermelon popsicle holder. Optionally you can paint the seeds on - just make sure it is with a non-washable paint.
Pineapple Popsicle Holder:
Round 1: With yellow, make a mr and make sc x6 in the circle. If you find it difficult making a magic ring you can chain 2 and then crochet sc x6 in the second chain from the hook. (6)
Round 2: Sc inc in the first 5 stitches of the round. In the last stitch just make a sc, no increase (11). (We need an odd amount for the stitch we will be doing for the pineapple texture).
Round 3-16: Sc in the next stitch and then dc in the following stitch. Repeat for the rest of the round (11). When you do the other rounds make sure that the stitch below from the previous round is different from the stitch you are going to make. Example: above a sc stitch should be a dc stitch and vice versa.
In the very last stitch in round 16, make a sc inc (12).
When you are done with round 16, fasten off the yellow and join the lighter green yarn.
(We make less rounds for this crochet popsicle holder pattern because the double crochets make the rounds taller.)
Round 17: Ch x1, then *dc x2 into the next stitch. In the following stitch make a sl st. Repeat from *, then sl st to the beginning of the round when you are done. Fasten off the green yarn and weave in any ends.

Or you can make my crochet cactus coaster pattern if you have a lot of the lighter green leftover.

🐌Expert Tips
- Keep Tension Consistent: Maintaining consistent tension throughout the project will ensure that your cozy looks neat and fits well. If your stitches are too tight, it could make the cozy difficult to put on the freeze pop, and if they’re too loose, it may not stay in place properly.
- Measure Your Freeze Pops Before Starting: Freeze pops can come in slightly different sizes, so it’s a good idea to measure your stitches against the popsicle so you can adjust the number of stitches or rows to ensure a perfect fit. And at the same time you can enjoy a tasty treat.
- Use a Stitch Marker: If you're working in the round, a stitch marker can help you keep track of your first stitch in each row. This will prevent you from accidentally skipping or adding extra stitches as you crochet around.
🧵Pattern FAQs
Yes! This pattern is designed to be easy to follow and beginner-friendly. If you're new to crochet, you'll find the instructions simple and straightforward. Even if you're just starting out, you’ll have fun creating this cozy!
Absolutely! The cozy is fully customizable, so feel free to choose your favorite colors. You can make it match the flavor of your favorite popsicle or get creative with a variety of vibrant hues.
You can use any medium-weight yarn (such as worsted weight yarn) for this pattern. Choose a yarn that is soft but durable, as the cozy will be handled a lot. Make sure to use a yarn that’s comfortable to the touch and easy to clean. I did use cotton yarn but both cotton and acrylic should be fine.
