    🐌Expert Tips

    • Block for Shape: After finishing your flower, lightly block it using a steam or wet blocking method to help it lay flat and hold its shape. This makes a big difference if you’re attaching it to something like a pillow or garment.
    • Use a Tapestry Needle for Neat Finishing: Weave in your ends carefully with a blunt-tipped tapestry needle to keep the back tidy—especially important if the flower will be visible from both sides.
    • Layer for Dimension: Want a more intricate look? Crochet two flowers and stack them together, offsetting the petals slightly for a fuller, layered effect. You can even sew a small button or bead in the center.
    • Secure It Well: When sewing your crochet small flower applique onto another item, stitch around the center and one or two points on the petals to keep it securely in place while allowing a bit of movement for a natural look.
