Instructions
For this Crochet Popsicle Holder Pattern, we will be working in the round.
Strawberry Popsicle Holder:
Round 1: With red, make a mr and make sc x6 in the circle. If you find it difficult making a magic ring you can chain 2 and then crochet sc x6 in the second chain from the hook. (6)
Round 2: Inc in every sc. (12)
Round 3-22: Sc in every sc (12). Then fasten off the red and join the darker green yarn.
Round 23: Ch x1, then *dc x2 into the next stitch. In the following stitch make a sl st. Repeat from *, then sl st to the beginning of the round when you are done. Fasten off the green yarn and weave in any ends.
Embroidery:
Embroider white seeds all over the strawberry holder. Optionally you can paint the seeds on - just make sure it is with a non-washable paint.
Watermelon Freeze Pop Holder:
Round 1: With the lighter shade of green, make a mr and make sc x6 in the circle. If you find it difficult making a magic ring you can chain 2 and then crochet sc x6 in the second chain from the hook. (6)
Round 2: Inc in every sc. (12)
Round 3-5: Sc in every sc (12). Then fasten off the green and join the white yarn.
Round 6-7: Sc in every sc (12). Then fasten off the white and join the pink yarn.
Round 8-22: Sc in every sc (12).
Round 23: Ch x1, then *dc x2 into the next stitch. In the following stitch make a sl st. Repeat from *, then sl st to the beginning of the round when you are done. Fasten off the pink yarn and weave in any ends.
Embroidery:
Embroider black seeds all over the watermelon popsicle holder. Optionally you can paint the seeds on - just make sure it is with a non-washable paint.
Pineapple Popsicle Holder:
Round 1: With yellow, make a mr and make sc x6 in the circle. If you find it difficult making a magic ring you can chain 2 and then crochet sc x6 in the second chain from the hook. (6)
Round 2: Inc in the first 5 stitches of the round. In the last stitch just make a sc, no increase (11). (We need an odd amount for the stitch we will be doing for the pineapple texture).
Round 3-16: Sc in the next stitch and then dc in the following stitch. Repeat for the rest of the round (11). When you do the other rounds make sure that the stitch below from the previous round is different from the stitch you are going to make. Example: above a sc stitch should be a dc stitch and vice versa.
In the very last stitch in round 16, make an inc (12).
When you are done with round 16, fasten off the yellow and join the lighter green yarn.
(We make less rounds for this crochet popsicle holder pattern because the double crochets make the rounds taller.)
Round 17: Ch x1, then *dc x2 into the next stitch. In the following stitch make a sl st. Repeat from *, then sl st to the beginning of the round when you are done. Fasten off the green yarn and weave in any ends.
Thank you for checking out my crochet popsicle holders pattern! I hope you enjoy making these fun and practical crochet summer patterns as much as I did.
