This Crochet Spa Set Pattern is simple to make and perfect for thoughtful last-minute gifts. You can complete this pattern in less than an hour!

Finished crochet face scrubbies and soap saver.

The crochet spa set pattern includes exfoliating pads, makeup remover pads, and a soap saver bag that can also serve as a convenient holding bag for all the round pads if you choose not to use it for bars of soap.

    • Exfoliating Pads: These pads are designed to gently remove dead skin cells, promoting a smoother and more radiant complexion. Made with textured yarn, they provide a gentle scrubbing effect that can enhance your skincare routine.
    • Makeup Remover Pads: Soft and absorbent, these pads are perfect for removing makeup and cleansing your face. They are eco-friendly alternatives to disposable cotton pads, allowing you to enjoy guilt-free beauty rituals while reducing waste.
    • Soap Saver Bag: This versatile bag not only stores your soap bars but also allows you to lather and exfoliate in the shower. Simply place a bar of soap inside, and the bag will create a bubbly lather while protecting your soap from getting mushy. When you donโ€™t need it for soap, it can be used to hold your pads, keeping everything organized and easy to find.

The crochet spa set pattern is fairly easy to follow, making it an excellent choice for beginners who want to develop their crochet skills. As long as you have a basic understanding of single crochet and double crochet stitches, you will find this project manageable and enjoyable.

With clear instructions and minimal advanced techniques required, you can confidently create this spa set in no time, even if youโ€™re just starting your crochet journey. Plus, it's a rewarding way to create thoughtful, handmade gifts for friends and family!

    โœ๏ธ Things To Note:

    1. Yarn Type: The crochet spa set pattern is made using cotton yarn (with small amounts of scrubby yarn). Avoid using wool or acrylic, as acrylic can be abrasive, and wool can shrink. Acrylic also isnโ€™t very absorbent. If you have any leftover cotton yarn you can make my crochet cat coasters or crochet chicken coasters.
    2. Customization: The crochet spa set pattern is highly customizable. You can add strands to the back of the pads or create pads in different shapes if you feel adventurous.
    3. Size: The pads are about 3 inches in diameter, and the bag is approximately 5 inches in height. You can create many crochet spa sets as gifts, and they wonโ€™t take up much space.

    ๐Ÿชก Materials Needed

    • 1 ball of cotton yarn
    • 1 ball of scrubby yarn
    • 5mm hook
    • Tapestry Needle

๐Ÿ’ญ Abbreviations to Remember (US Terms)

    • Chains (ch)
    • Single Crochet (sc)
    • Double Crochet (dc)
    • Magic ring (mr)
    • Increase (inc)

    ๐Ÿง‹ Variations

Once you have the basic spa set down, you can get creative by switching out the shapes of the makeup remover pads. Consider making them into smiley faces, hearts, flowers, etc. My crochet strawberry applique pattern would make for a cute summer exfoliating pad!

    ๐ŸŒExpert Tips

    • Choose Your Yarn Wisely: Cotton yarn is ideal for absorbency, while scrubby yarn adds texture for exfoliating pads.
    • Customization Options: Experiment with colors and patterns. Use variegated yarn for a unique look or add decorative stitches.
    • Gift Sets: Create a complete spa set by including a homemade soap bar or lotion for a thoughtful gift.
    • Care Instructions: Remind recipients to wash the makeup pads after each use. If you make several pads, they can cycle through them while keeping some in use.

    ๐Ÿงต Pattern FAQs

Why can't I use acrylic yarn?

Acrylic yarn does not absorb or wick away moisture like cotton. It is also less soft and can be abrasive to the face.

Can I use other natural fiber yarn instead of cotton?

Yes, bamboo yarn is soft and works well. Wool can be used but isn't recommended due to potential shrinkage.

How often should I wash the makeup pads?

Wash them after every use. Making several pads allows you to cycle through them while ensuring you always have some on hand.
