Yarn Type: This pattern is made using cotton yarn (with small amounts of scrubby yarn). Avoid using wool or acrylic, as acrylic can be abrasive, and wool can shrink. Acrylic also isn’t very absorbent.
Customization: The pattern is highly customizable. You can add strands to the back of the pads or create pads in different shapes if you feel adventurous.
Size: The pads are about 3 inches in diameter, and the bag is approximately 5 inches in height. You can create many crochet spa sets as gifts, and they won’t take up much space.
Instructions
Crochet Soap Saver Bag:
This pattern is made in rounds.
Using 1 strand of cotton yarn, ch x16.
Round 1: In the 2nd ch from hook make a sc. Sc x13, you will have 1 chain left. In the last chain, sc x3 and then turn your work to the unworked side of the foundation chain.
Sc x13. In the last ch sc x2 and then sl st to the first sc you made in the round (32).
Round 2-4: Sc in every stitch (32). In the very last sc you are supposed to make in round 4, make it a sl st instead.
Round 5: Ch x4, skip 2 spaces, *dc, ch x2, skip 2 spaces. Repeat from * for the rest of the round. Then sl st to the first ch space (32). The last space skipped will only have 1 stitch skipped + the sl st from the previous round, its slightly smaller than the other spaces but its ok, it isn't really noticeable.
Round 6-9: Repeat round 5 (32).
Round 10-11: Sc in every stitch (even the chains) (32).
Round 12: Sc, ch x2 + skip 2 spaces and then repeat for the rest of the row. This is the round where you will put the drawstring, just like round 5 it may not fit perfectly, but it isn't noticeable.
Round 13: Sc x32. Fasten off and then weave in the ends.
Drawstring:
Ch x50. Weave in the ends and then weave in between the top of the soap saver bag.

Soft:
Round 1: Using 2 strands of cotton yarn, make a mr and then sc x8 into the mr (8).
Round 2: Inc in every stitch (16).
Round 3: Inc, sc and repeat for the rest of the round (24). Then fasten off and weave in the ends.
Exfoliating:
Round 1: Using 1 strand of cotton yarn and 1 strand of scrubby yarn, make a mr and then sc x8 into the mr (8).
Round 2: Inc in every stitch (16).
Round 3: Inc, sc and repeat for the rest of the round (24). Then fasten off and weave in the ends.
