A beary cute crochet coaster for any occasion! This Bear Coaster Crochet Pattern can be completed quickly and is irresistibly cute for everyday use.
This crochet bear coaster pattern is ideal for beginners who are comfortable with basic crochet stitches. It’s also great for last-minute gifts, whether for Christmas, housewarmings, baby showers, and more. Plus, these bear tea or coffee coasters are perfect for selling at markets or online as finished products (though the pattern itself is not for resale).
The pattern is designed to use cotton yarn, which is essential for making coasters. Cotton is the best choice because it's breathable and absorbent, making it practical for everyday use.
I enjoy working with cotton yarn and have several patterns that feature it, like my Crochet Duck Hat Pattern, Crochet Strawberry Coaster Pattern, and Crochet Spa Set. Cotton is also excellent for projects like summer hats, washcloths, and, of course, coasters because of these beneficial qualities.
If you're interested in other crochet home décor patterns that use different yarn types, I recommend trying decorative projects like the Crochet Strawberry Pillow Pattern or Crochet Star Garland Pattern.

✏️ Things To Note:
- Use Cotton Yarn: Cotton yarn is crucial for absorbency. If you prefer acrylic, then use it to create cute bear appliques for blankets and other decorative items where absorbency isn’t needed.
- Beginner-Friendly Design: This pattern has only 4 rounds, and it’s a great way to learn how to crochet coasters. The design is simple, with the bear features added in the last round.
- Adjustable Size: The finished coaster is approximately 4.5 inches wide. You can change the hook size to make the coaster bigger or smaller.

Embroidery:

🐌Expert Tips
- Neat Embroidery: To keep the back of the coaster tidy, slide the yarn under stitches when moving between embroidery spots. Make sure the yarn doesn’t show on the front.
- Use of Starch for Stiffness: For a firmer coaster, lightly spray with starch and press with a warm iron. This will help maintain the shape without losing the coaster's softness.
- Adjusting Hook Size: If your coaster turns out too tight or too loose, try adjusting your hook size. A smaller hook will tighten stitches, and a larger one will loosen them, giving a slightly different look.
