Strawberries create a lovely aesthetic. So why not make a giant crochet strawberry pillow to cuddle up to using my Crochet Strawberry Pillow Pattern! The pattern works up quickly so you can enjoy your strawberry pillow in no time.
Strawberries are everywhere right now. They have really become a big part of mainstream style that strawberries are no longer only associated with thoughts of summer, but also cottagecore, fairycore, and other simpler aesthetics that stem from either nature or food.
I personally love strawberries, they are my favorite food, and if I could I would have everything decorated with them, I would. Last year I even made a crochet strawberry bag that I could use throughout the year to hold my phone and wallet.
With Valentine's Day, spring and summer coming up, I decided I wanted to make more strawberry patterns starting with this crochet strawberry pillow pattern. It has quickly become one of my favorite patterns and my child has already stolen the pink one for themself.

✏️ Things To Note:
- I ended up using a discontinued chained yarn called Red Heart TLC Amore Red Velvet for my red strawberry, if you don’t have that yarn in your stash already, feel free to use chenille yarn instead.
- You can also use any yarn for this project. In the picture steps below, I used Caron One Pound worsted weight yarn for the main part of the berry and Red Heart for the leaves.
- The finished size of this pattern is roughly 20 inches tall. If you use chunky yarn or a bigger or smaller hook, there will be sizing differences.

Sew Leaves to the top of the strawberry.
Embroider seeds onto the strawberry. I used 2 strands to make bigger seeds, but you can do one or two strands.

🐌Expert Tips
When you're stuffing the strawberry, don't stuff it too hard otherwise you might cause holes in the berry.
🧵FAQs
Chunky yarn in a single strand is perfect for this pattern.
It will be half the size, so roughly 9-10 inches.
You can either use felt and sew/glue them on. Or you can crochet them in while you are working on crocheting the strawberry by carrying the white yarn under the stitches and then switching colors every once in a while for the seeds.

Hi! Can you share how much yarn did this project take? I have only 100g of a thicker chenille yarn and was wondering if I will be able to make the whole strawberry or if I should do some sizing down. Thank you if you'll reply, I really want to make this!
Kimberly Arenas says
For this project I double stranded a thin yarn (causing it to be similar to chenille in yarn weight and texture). So, the amount I used is more than what someone with chenille is using. Roughly 200 yards should be enough to make the strawberry, if you have less than that you may need to size down the pattern.

Thank you so much for this pattern! It was so easy to follow. The pattern is so wonderful! I loved how it came out. I changed the "seeds" a bit but overall it looks great! Thank you so so much!

I am glad you liked it 🙂

Very easy to follow and adjust. I did a single strand of yarn and a 4.75mm hook for a smaller pillow. I’m excited to try a double strand next time!
