🍵Instructions for Crochet Daisy Keychain Pattern
This crochet daisy keychain pattern is made in the round.
Crochet Flower Middle:
Make x2.

Round 1: Using the yellow yarn, make a mr and sc x6 in to the circle. If you find it difficult making a magic ring you can chain 2 and then crochet sc x6 in the second chain from the hook. (6)
Round 2: Inc in every sc. (12)
Round 3: Inc, sc. Then repeat until the end of round (18).
Round 4: Inc, sc x2. Then repeat until the end of round (24).
Fasten off the yellow yarn and weave in the ends.
Crochet Flower Petals:

We will be crocheting both yellow circles together to create the flower petals, so make sure the right side of the circles are facing outward.
Round 5: Join your white yarn anywhere, just be sure that you are going through both circles. * Next ch x3. In the following stitch tr x2. Then ch x3 and make a sl st into the next stitch on the circle.
Repeat from * for the rest of the round. Make sure you stuff the flower middle with polyfill before you crochet it shut.
Once you are done, fasten off the yarn and leave a tail for adding the keyring.
Add the keyring to the yarn end, then secure the yarn where you left off and weave in the end. Make sure you secure the yarn well so the keyring won’t come off.
Crochet Leaves:
Make 2x leaves.

With the green yarn, ch x9.
Follow this sequence of stitches, starting in the second ch from the hook: sl st, sc, hdc, dc x2, hdc, sc, sl st. You should be at the end of the chain. Now make a chain and flip to the unworked side of the foundation chain. Follow the sequence again: sl st, sc, hdc, dc x2, hdc, sc, sl st. Then fasten off the yarn and leave a tail for sewing.
Sew the 2 leaves to the back of the keychain, I chose to sew them 90 degrees from the keyring.
Weave in the ends and the daisy flower crochet pattern is completed! I hope you enjoyed making this crochet daisy keychain pattern!

🐌Expert Tips
- Tension Matters: Keep your tension consistent when making the crochet daisy keychain to ensure your keychain has a neat and uniform appearance. If your stitches are too tight, your flower might become stiff.
- Use the Right Yarn: While any yarn will work, I recommend using a medium-weight yarn (like worsted weight) for the best balance of durability and texture. Cotton and acrylic yarn are especially great for keychains because it holds its shape well and has a nice, crisp finish.
- Try Different Hooks: If you're new to crochet, experiment with a couple of different hook sizes to see which one gives you the best results. A hook that's too small for your yarn could make it hard to work through the stitches, while a hook that's too large may cause your flower to lose its shape. Generally, a 4mm hook works best for this pattern.
🧵Pattern FAQs
Yes, you can use any yarn for a crochet daisy flower, but it's best to choose yarn that is sturdy enough to hold the shape of the flower. For keychains, cotton or acrylic yarn in a medium weight (worsted weight) is ideal, as it provides a good balance of texture and durability.
Yes, you can adjust the size of the daisy by changing the yarn weight or hook size. Using thicker yarn and a larger hook will create a larger flower, while using thinner yarn and a smaller hook will result in a smaller flower. You can also adjust the number of petals or layers in the flower to make it bigger or smaller.
I try to not glue my crochet projects if I can help it. I don’t think glueing them would be best practice here because keychains usually see a lot of high usage. I would stick to sewing the leaves on for the crochet daisy keychain pattern.
