    ✏️ Things To Note:

    1. Ribbing Texture: The single crochet back loop only (sc blo) ribbing creates a stretchy, textured band that fits snugly around your wrist and lower arm. Make sure to keep your tension even when working in the back loop to maintain a uniform ribbed effect.
    2. Sizing: The pattern is written for adult-sized hands, but it can easily be adjusted for kids. Simply reduce the number of stitches in the ribbing or adjust the length of the gloves to suit smaller hands.
    3. Quick & Simple: With easy stitches, this pattern works up quickly, making it perfect for holiday gifts or last-minute Christmas crochet gloves. You'll be wearing it or gifting it in no time!

    🪡 Materials Needed

    • Red Heart Yarn - hot red
    • Red Heart Yarn - white
    • Red Heart Yarn - spring green
    • 5mm hook
    • Tapestry needle

    💭Abbreviations to Remember (US terms)

    🧋Variations

    • Alternate Color Combinations: While the classic red, white, and green is festive, feel free to experiment with other holiday colors. Try blue and white for a wintery, snow-inspired vibe. You could also add metallics like gold or silver for a more elegant, festive touch.
    • Add Embellishments: Decorate your crochet ribbed fingerless glove pattern with small crochet motifs like snowflakes, holly, or pom-poms. You could even add a few beads or buttons for a little extra sparkle and texture.

🍵Instructions for Crochet Ribbed Fingerless Gloves Pattern

The crochet ribbed fingerless glove pattern are made both using rows and rounds.

    Cuff

This part of the pattern is made in rows.

    Finished crochet ribbed cuff.

Row 1: Using green yarn, ch 11, sc in second ch from hook and continue to make sc across the chain. Then ch x1 and turn (10)

Row 2: Sc in blo for every stitch in this row. Then ch x1 and turn (10).

    Row 3-28: Repeat row 2 (10).

Sl st or sc the two ends together to form a cuff. Begin the next round by crocheting along the edge of the cuff to start the hand portion of the glove.

    Hand

Work in the round, joining at the end of every row and continuing in the same direction. The first stitch will always be in the same stitch as the join from the previous round.

Crocheting on top of the sc blo cuff.

Round 1: Using white yarn, ch x1, hdc 28 times along the edge, join to first hdc (28). When making the sl st, change the color to red, you can drop the white yarn and pick it up for the next round, no need to carry it through this round or fasten it off.

Round 2: With the red yarn, ch x1, 2 hdc in first hdc, hdc in each hdc across, join to first hdc (29). You will switch the color back to white.

FOR EVERY ROW YOU WILL SWITCH COLORS BETWEEN RED AND WHITE.

Half way done with the crochet glove.

Round 3: Ch x1, hdc in each stitch around, join (29).

Round 4: Ch x1, 2 hdc in first stitch, hdc in next 2 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in each stitch around, join (31).

    🐌Expert Tips

    • Choose the Right Yarn: For a soft, cozy feel, choose a yarn that’s comfortable against the skin. A medium-weight yarn, such as worsted weight, works great for this pattern. If you want extra warmth, look for yarn with a blend of wool and acrylic.
    • Fit and Size: If you're unsure about the size of your gloves, it’s always a good idea to try it on as you go. Crochet is stretchy, so you can adjust the height of the hat or add an extra round of increases if needed to fit your head comfortably.
    • Tension Matters: If you're new to crochet, be mindful of your tension. Make sure your stitches aren't too tight, as this can make the gloves too small and stiff. On the other hand, overly loose stitches can make the gloves too big or floppy. Find a happy medium that creates a smooth fabric.

    🧵Pattern FAQs

    What size are these gloves?

This pattern is designed for an adult size, but it’s easy to adjust. You can modify the width or length of the gloves to suit your hand size or personal preference. Simply add or subtract a few rows to fit your measurements.

How do I change colors for the stripes?

To change colors, simply finish the last stitch of the previous color and join the new color by pulling it through the loop. Continue crocheting with the new color, making sure to fasten off the old color to avoid any loose ends. This will give you a neat color transition.

Can I make these gloves without stripes?

Absolutely! You can easily modify the pattern to create solid-colored gloves or try different color-blocking techniques. The ribbed design works well with any color choice.
