My Crochet Heart Granny Square Pattern is perfect for Valentine’s Day or showing someone how much they mean to you! This crochet heart granny square is perfect for making bags, blankets and other flat heart crochet projects.
Yarn Choice: For this free heart granny square crochet pattern, I used standard worsted-weight acrylic yarn. However, you can also experiment with cotton or chunky yarn to create larger squares (10-12 inches), which are perfect for projects like bags, pillows, or blankets.
Beginner-Friendly: This pattern is great for beginners, as it mainly uses the double crochet (dc) stitch. Its simplicity makes it easy to follow, even for those just starting with crochet.
Seamless Color Changes: To change colors smoothly within the pattern, complete your double crochet stitch as usual, but switch to the new yarn after pulling through the first two loops. Finish the stitch with the new color to create a seamless transition.

For the crochet heart granny square pattern, we will be working in rounds.
