Say hi to spring with this cute Crochet Headphone Sprout! Become a happy little sprout plant in just 30 minutes by using a variety of beginner stitches.
I used acrylic yarn for this project, but any yarn works.
Since the crochet headphone sprout pattern uses very little yarn, you can use scrap yarn instead of buying a new skein.
Each finished leaf is about 2.5 inches, making the total width of the 2 leaves roughly 5 inches.
Instructions
The crochet headphone sprout pattern is created by crocheting around chains.
Step 1: Ch x9
Step 2: Starting in the second chain from the hook make the following sequence of stitches, 1 stitch per chain:
Sc, hdc, dc, tr, tr, dc, hdc, sc.
Once you get to the end of the chain, ch x1 and turn to the other side of the chain.
Step 3: Do not work in the turning chain. Instead skip it and make the following sequence of stitches.
Sc, hdc, dc, tr, tr, dc, hdc, sc.
Step 4: Ch x15 (this is adjustable based on the length you want the wrap to be). Sl st in the 10th ch from the hook. Continue to sl st the rest of the length of the chain until you are right where you made your first leaf.
Step 5: You are going to make the second leaf. Repeat steps 1-3.
Fasten off the yarn and weave in the ends.
And now you have a very cool crochet headphone sprout!
