My Crochet Carrot Pattern is easy to make and perfect for many crochet projects! Make it as a crochet food plushie or use it for Easter decoration - the possibilities are endless!
I used acrylic yarn for this crochet vegetable. Choose acrylic, cotton, or chunky yarn for a giant carrot; avoid wool due to potential shrinking. The pattern's base involves single crochet (sc), while the carrot top includes double crochet (dc) stitches. Tighten stitches by yarning under during single crochet. The pattern creates 2 triangles, single crocheted together for a flatter, ragdoll-like shape. Experiment with chunky yarn or different colors for variety!

Sewing:
We are actually going to crochet the edges together for the carrot and carrot top separately, then sew the 2 pieces together with the tapestry needle. If you want you can also just sew everything, but I feel crocheting the edge gives a cleaner finish.
For the carrot top, line up the 2 green pieces and crochet the top edge together. Then crochet the bottom edge.
For the crochet carrot, crochet all 3 sides of the carrot together. Rule of thumb is 1 sc per row you made. If you need more or less, adjust the number of your stitches.
Remember to stuff the carrot slightly. Then sew the carrot top and carrot together with the tapestry needle.
Additionally, you can embroider horizontal lines onto the carrot to add more ridges to make it look more like a carrot.
