Demand for crochet anime patterns is rising, and as a lover of anime myself, I made a Crochet No Face Pattern from the movie Spirited Away! Just make sure not to accept any gold from him.

Studio Ghibli films are my favorite things to watch whenever I have free time. They never get old, and each has great stories and art, all made by the great Hayao Miyazaki. My husband and I have loved them since we were both children, and now our child loves them too!
Studio Ghibli has many iconic characters; one of my favorites is No Face from Spirited Away. He’s just this misunderstood spirit who, in the end, is actually a pretty decent guy.
I love this character so much that I decided to crochet him into a cute chibi No Face plush. Instead of gatekeeping the pattern, I decided to give it away for free! Now you can crochet your own No Face anime character too!

✏️ Things to Note:
- Yarn Choice: I made the crochet No Face plush with acrylic yarn, but any type of yarn will work. Cotton, acrylic, and chunky yarn are highly recommended. If you choose chunky yarn, your plush will be quite large.
- Size Information: The finished size of the No Face plush is about 7 inches tall using a 5mm hook.
- Tight Stitches: If your stitches aren’t tight, consider crocheting under the yarn instead of over it, or switch to a smaller hook size. Crocheting with black can be tricky, especially for stuffed projects, so aim to keep the pattern tight to prevent the stuffing from showing through.
🪡 Materials Needed

Try using chunky yarn for a super large crochet No Face plush! You can also make little arms to hold the gold coins if you want.

- Keep Your Tools Handy: Have scissors and a tapestry needle ready for easy access during the project.
🧵 Pattern FAQs
What looks like his face is actually a mask. He does have a mouth though where he gobbles up everything in sight.
You can if you'd like!
Absolutely! The triangles can be a little fiddly to sew on since they are small, so if you prefer to embroider or use felt triangles, go right ahead!
